How to Create Cinematic Split Screens in Davinci Resolve

Split screens are a powerful way to add cinematic style to your edits. Whether it’s for storytelling, comparisons, or creative visuals, you can make split screens in DaVinci Resolve in just a few simple steps.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open the Edit Page
Launch DaVinci Resolve and go to the Edit page where you’ll do most of your video assembly.

Step 2: Stack Your Clips
Place multiple video clips on top of each other in the timeline, depending on how many screens you want in your grid.

Step 3: Apply Video Collage Effect
Drag the Video Collage effect onto one of your clips and select your desired settings for layout and grid size.

Step 4: Copy and Paste Attributes
Right-click on your clip, copy the attributes, and paste them onto the rest of your clips to apply the same layout quickly.

Step 5: Adjust Your Tiles
Change the tile settings for each clip to place them in the right spot, and your split screen is ready.
